Josh: "Choose a stick, mom! Do you want the long one or the short one?"

Me: "I want the long one."

Josh: "No! Choose a different one."

...what??

Out of the clear blue sky, just now...

"JP [a friend of ours] can stay overnight and keep an eye on the magnets while we sleep."

Um...okay. Why does this sound ominous?
